Truth behind placement stats

I don't know what kind of techniques these outlook people appy for selecting ranking of colleges.......if we compare galgotias in comparison of infrastructure its campus is far much better than other private colleges above it(any one can visit and check it out)............. in terms of students quality doesn't have any difference.............in terms of campus placements its record is far much better than other colleges( latest stats: galgotia college two largest companies recruiters- infosys- 301 and accenture-175 , instead I have got to know that infi just picked 200 and wipro 100 from KIET and from AJAY KUMAR GARG , the figure was almost same......... and the most top college outloook showed the figure was even much smaller..around 160-170.....and one more thing this time 50 lakh package was highest in galgotias compareble to IIT and MNIT students highest student package.
so I just want to appeal to outlook surveyors please be "right" and "justful" when they decide about colleges ranking........... because inspite of helping students in selecting rightful choice of colleges , u guys can spoil their future too!

Recently, I came across above argument on ranking published for colleges in UP. It seems very logical at first, however it is very misleading and irony of the story is that, the writer is also not aware about the fact. He would only come to know when he will actually get such placement from the college. 

I would like to point out the fact that, getting placed in a good company and getting placement with good salary is two different things, often students starts dreaming about a bright future when they come to know about any placement statistics of certain college.

The truth is much bitter and in contrast to our thinking, yes Galgotia has placed largest students in infosys -301 and accenture - 175 and similar company has picked less students from KIET and AJAY Kumar Garg, not because Galgotia is very very very good college but because these companies finds candidates at very low packages from second grade colleges. Also these colleges are filling their placement records mostly by IT company which is very misleading to students.
Colleges like KITE, Ajay Kumar Garg and JSS are helping their students to get placed with good corporates in all others engineering branches and they are not limited to IT and CS. Their students not only commands higher salary but also they got placed mostly in lead role.

50 lack package has been given to Galgotia student which does not mean everybody is getting such package or average is such a huge figure. This should not be the correct measurement of a college quality, this can be one of the parameter to judge. We need to go into much dipper analysis like what is the average packages being offered to XYZ college. What is the median salary offered. What it the trend in last three years etc.

Note: I am not against any institute nor promoting any college. Please consider the above article as an honest effort to view the situation through different angle. Your comments will be appreciated.

Update on Odisha Counselling

After extended waiting of 4 days, students finally came to know their respective provisional allotment letters. It was a great relief for some candidate and disappointment for some. Those who got their dream colleges are happy and those who were not fortunate enough to qualify for coveted seats in top notch colleges should not lose hearts as their is second  list yet to be declare.
